What is the Next Step Program?
The Next Step Program offers qualified Verizon associates an opportunity to earn an Associate Degree in Applied Science (A.A.S.), with a special focus on Telecommunications Technology. The Program consists of 60 credit hours of coursework, taken over a four-year period. The Program covers roughly equal credits in three areas: general education, electronics, and telecommunications. Each student attends classes for one 8-hour day a week each semester, with semesters running concurrent with the partner college fall and spring semesters. It will take four academic years for students to receive a two-year Associate Degree in Applied Science (A.A.S.), from the college in which they enrolled.

What you need to know
First and foremost you should register during EVERY registration period for every semester until you are actually sitting in a seat in your Next Step Program class.
